I looked at my daughter and hardened my heart. At the moment she had a nervous smile on her face, as if she hoped that I would let things go this one time, but we both knew that that wasn't going to happen.

Soon (but not soon enough for her) she would be standing in the corner, her red bottom on display as tears ran down her face. After what she did it had to happen and was going to happen. As I mentally pictured her there, I didn't know which of us needed this more. But that didn't matter. It was happening and no force in heaven or hell could stop the punishment to come.

Is the girl in her twenties but still seen to at home? Is the narrator her mother or father? Is this all just an age play RP between a married couple?

If I could answer any of those questions then this would be a completed story rather than a snippet. If you can answer those questions, then those answers are the correct ones for your reading of the story.
