Let us pause in a scene's pleasures, and count its many tears
as we hear our sobbing brats implore
There's a cry that will linger, forever in our ears:
"Oh Hard Smacks, come again no more!"

'Tis the wail, the cry of the bratty,
"Hard Smacks, Hard Smacks, come again no more.
"Many hours i have stood here, with pants upon the floor,
"Oh Hard Smacks, come again no more!"

There's a pale drooping maiden, who toils all the day
scrubbing crayon, from walls she scribbled o'er
As her voice asks for mercy, she's crying all the day
"Oh Hard Smacks, come again no more!"

'Tis the wail, the cry of the bratty,
"Hard Smacks, Hard Smacks, come again no more.
"Many hours I've been cornered, with bottom red and sore,
"Oh Hard Smacks, come again no more!"

'Tis a cry that is wafted from out the corner's gloom
'Tis a wail that is heard midst her chores
A refrain that, so often, comes from Miss Naughty's room
"Oh Hard Smacks, come again no more!"

'Tis the wail, the cry of the bratty,
"Hard Smacks, Hard Smacks, come again no more.
"Many hours i have stood here, with pants upon the floor,
"Oh Hard Smacks, come again no more!"

While we seek love and beauty, and scenes both bright and gay
there are penitents kneeling on the floor
Though their voices are silent, their pleading looks still say:
"Oh Hard Smacks, come again no more!"

"Many hours I've been cornered, with bottom red and sore,
