Since Julie had an extremely tense week at work, we accepted the invitation to spend a nice quiet evening at our good friends home for dinner and some games. Tina had been talking to Julie all week about her trying times on the job and convinced Glen to invite us over for the evening to relax and unwind, which he agreed to whole-heartedly. Good friends like these are a gift in life that we were fortunate enough to have in abundance. Sadly for us, but great for them, Rick and Ellen were busy with an evening full of activities with their children at the carnival. Now this may not sound like a blast to many but we welcomed a Saturday night in with friends. After dinner, we chatted as we helped our hosts clean up and were having a stress free evening laughing and joking around, which is just what Julie needed after the week she had dealing with nonsense on the job.

Glen being the "nerd" of our circle, and I mean that in a nice way as he is the one at only 27 years of age has his masters degree in biology and is working towards his doctorate, suggested we play couples trivial pursuit. I was leary on this idea because I am competitive and clearly Glen and Tina have the advantage as Tina is a college graduate who is working towards her masters degree. Julie coaxed me on saying, "c'mon Brian let's play. It'll be fun. What we lack in education we gain in experience, especially in the history category since we lived more of it than they have. Heck they were born in 1985 when we were in high school." I couldn't resist my beautiful wife since it was the first time all week I saw a beaming smile on her adorable face, so I agreed.

We were on fire, Julie and I, because we were going for the win with one final question. The category came up movies and I sat back with a grin and folded my hands on top of my head and said, "Fire away with that question cause my Jules is a cinema expert. We all know that is her passion, majoring in the arts in college." Julie knows just about everything about the medium, and I about nothing. I often kid her she's like Siskel and Ebert but prettier. I was confident my bride had this one.

Glen reads the question, "Which two award winning actors starred in the film Cape Fear?" I haven't a clue so I use both index fingers and point to Julie gloating over our sure win. "1962 or 1991?" Julie asks.

"The card doesn't say," Glen states matter of factly, smiling because he knows now he has a fifty fifty chance for a misanswer. "Ah come on buddy," I say while laughing, "you have the answer in front of you."

"I sure do old man," he jokes back, "but I was just a kid of six when the 1991 movie was made so how could I possibly know the difference?" he says back sarcastically. Glen, Tina and I all laughed at the levity of his remark knowing it was all just good ridicule and we were all having a good time pressing each others buttons. Still with all smiles we looked to Julie for the answer. You could see the look of frustration on her face, the same look I seen all week with her stress. Even though we were all having a good time she had a disgusted look on her face and said, "Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum."

"I'm sorry but thanks for playing, the correct answer is Nick Nolte and Robert Deniro," Glen retorted with his best game show host impression which sent Tina and I into another fit of laughter. "That's not funny you guys, I had both answers," Julie pouted.

Still laughing hard I added, "Yeah it reminds me of the episode of Seinfeld with the bubble boy and Moops and Moors." More laughter followed and a frustrated Julie blurts out, "Well you know what you are Glen? A sexual intellectual. And in case you weren't aware, that's a fucking know it all."

The laughter stopped immediately and all eyes went to me for my reaction. I took a deep breath and was silent for a few moments contemplating the situation before saying, "Tina, maybe you and I need to take a nice walk and let Glen and Julie deal with their differences of opinion." Tina still shocked at the recent event took a moment to collect her thoughts and finally responded, "Yeah, sure just let me get my shoes and socks on and I'll be right with you." Once Tina was ready we slipped out for a nice little stroll. The last thing I saw was Glen rolling up his shirt sleeves and Julie looking truly sorry, looking down to her feet and shaking her head.

Once outside we started walking down the street in silence when Tina finally spoke. "What was that all about?" "You know Julie she takes everything to heart," I replied as we keep walking. We walked for a while when Tina broke the silence again. "I feel sorry for her, you know Glen is going to blister her butt good for this. We were having such a good time and she let loose with that tirade."

"I know Tina, but I saw this coming all week. I mean I didn't see her blowing up to Glen but I seen her brewing with her frustrations and I knew it was only a matter of time until she needed a good spanking to snap her out of her mood. I don't know what her need for that is but every now and again I can tell she need her bottom warmed. I never spank without a good reason but I know, like I can sense when one is coming. I just don't understand it."

"Maybe I can help you understand," Tina offered. "Remember when we first reached this agreement of the discipline ring? Well I was going through a lonely time with Glen traveling and when he was home he had to study for his classes?" I nodded in my rememberance. She continued,"Well I felt this need to be brought back into reality, to not have the world on my shoulders, so I weighed my options, disturbing my busy husband who is working and studying for our benefit, or provoking a spanking from you or Rick. In the past I didn't have that option so I feel like I disappointed Glen just to get what I needed. Maybe Julie is doing the same thing, not worrying you and getting her discipline from Glen."

We stopped walking as I digested this theory. "But I love Julie and Glen loves you. It wouldn't be a bother to us to give our wives anything."

"No it's not that," Tina explained. "It's just that since we have this agreement why not take advantage of it and use all of its benefits. When I knew that first time I needed a spanking and the option was there, I was relieved I had choices. By the way when I knew I needed a good spanking I chose you. I love Rick but I decided on an older father figure who I look up to. I hope that doesn't put you off."

Astonished that someone would think of me in such an important role in their life, I did what came natural. I took my index finger and tapped her cute button nose and said, "Anytime kiddo." Tina blushed and looked away smiling and said, "How long do you think we should give them?" I looked at my watch and noticed thirty minutes has passed and replied, "We should probably head back now."

We walked back to the house and stopped dead in our tracks when we got to the front door and heard spank after spank being delivered and Julie howling and crying. "I'm so... so ... sorry Glen!!! I'll never do....do it ag...,again." Tina reached out and grabbed my hand and squeezed. A tight squeeze for reassurance, like a girl looking for a father to comfort her. I held her hand to let her know everything would be ok and waited. After two minutes of hearing nothing coming from inside, we ventured in.

Glen was sitting on his recliner watching the sports channel and Julie was deposited in a corner directly in his view. We could notice Julies glowing bare bottom staring at us from the corner, and hear her sobbing with her nose facing the wall. From the look of it Glen sure did give my Jules a good, long, hard spanking with her bottom cheeks a deep crimson red and the sit spots a shade darker. Tina stood on her tiptoes to reach my ear and said, "Wow she got the paddle for sure." I smiled back as Glen asked, "So how was your walk?"

We went on with a normal conversation until Glen dismissed Julie from the corner and when she finished dressing he went up to her and mimicked placing a crown on her head and said, "You win. Either answer was acceptable." Julie grinned and we all laughed. All was forgiven and never brought up again.
