This is my first real spanking story I'm posting on the forums. I wrote this on rather a whim and it feels clumsy in places, but I still hope it is enjoyed.

Knock! Knock! Knock!
You don’t have to open the door. Sylvie drew her knees up her chest, bare feet flat on the red brocade fabric of the chair. For all he knew, she had gone out to buy milk or had to drive home for a family emergency. On the third floor of her apartment building, it wasn’t like he could look through her windows.
All she had to do was stay in her chair and stay quiet and he would never know.
But you wanted this, remember?
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
Breathing deep, Sylvie pushed herself up and turned the corner to the hallway. Click went the deadbolt and click went the door lock. She pulled the door open, and welcomed her fate into her home.
“Hello, Leo.”
Leo stood more than a foot taller than Sylvie, and under his clothes, he was all muscle. But this was the first time he had ever felt imposing. She loved his smile and the kindness in his eyes and the sweet things he always said to her, and how safe she always felt when he held her close and reassured her everything would be fine, no matter what might be happening.
But when he stepped inside, Sylvie shutting the door behind him, none of that was there. His expression was stony and grave, his stance tall and rigid. Whatever emotions he might have been feeling at the time, he was doing a very good job of hiding them.
And while he stood there, Sylvie grasped her fingers tight, peeking up through her bangs. What was she supposed to do now? Could she hug him? Was that appropriate? Everything that was happening was a first for her.
Then, even though he didn’t set down his overnight case, he held out his arms to her and offered something resembling a smile. “Come here.”
Sylvie stepped into his arms and felt them wrap tight around her. Even though she didn’t feel quite secure enough to hug him back, she was able to feel some of the safety his arms always provided, even though it was, as she knew, a very temporary feeling.
Without saying anything else, he led her back to the living room and set her back down in her favorite red mushroom chair while he took the couch.
This was not going to be pleasant.
“Let me see you phone.”
Sylvie reached into the pocket of her sweatshirt and handed over the scratched and stickered rectangle. Leo pressed sever different buttons, making the screen flash and the aps beep. Again, that not quite a smile appeared on his face, probably the best he could manage under the circumstances.
“I see you finally got it working again.”
Sylvie began to squirm on the brocade again. That phone was exactly what brought her into so much trouble in the first place. More specifically, the fact that Leo had been unable to reach her on it for several days.
It wasn’t just that she’d dropped her phone in the sink or left it in the changing room at the store. Her yearly contract has run out, and she hadn’t renewed minutes before the deadline. The result? Her phone went completely dead and Sylvie spent more than a week without a phone while she sent hours arguing with customer representatives over the instant messaging.
It was such a time-sucking headache, she was caught completely off guard when three days later, she found a panicked email in her inbox from Leo wanting to know if she was still alive.
And the explanation she had to offer him was just about the worst she could have offered him. It had led to Sylvie setting up a Skype account for the purpose of her very first lecture. This sort of offence was the kind of thing that needed to be addressed face to face. The only thing that saved her from an immediate punishment was the fact that at the time, Leo had been three hours away visiting his parents. It had almost been funny watching him attempt to be imposing while at the same time, trying to make sure no one in his family overheard him from the next room.
“You already know why I am so upset with you.”
Sylvie nodded. “I know. You were worried that you couldn’t reach me.”
But Leo shook his head. That explanation wasn’t good enough.
“Yes, Sylvie, I do worry about you, but I also know you’re not a five-year-old who will burn the house down without a baby-sitter.”
“You don’t have a landline, Sylvie. Your cell is your only means of communicating with the outside world. What if someone broke into your apartment and you couldn’t call the police? What if you hit a patch of ice while you were driving and went into a ditch? You wouldn’t be able to call for help and you’d be trapped outside, in the cold, for God knows how long!”
He went on. “I could understand if this was because of an accident or even if you lost it, but the reason you didn’t have your phone because you were irresponsible. You must have received warnings on your phone telling you that you needed to renew your contract, and you probably could have just gone online and done it, but you didn’t. And I don’t suppose you have a good explanation for why you didn’t either.”
Sylvie shook her head. She didn’t have an explanation he like the first time he lectured, and she certainly didn’t have one now.
Leo sighed and shook his head. “Let’s get this over with, then.”
As he reached for the overnight case on the floor, Sylvie squirmed even more. In the grand scheme of things, there were much worse things she could have done to deserve much worse punishment, and she had heard more than a few stories of subs who had. But there was still plenty of reason to be nervous.
This was the first time she was being legitimately punished by Leo. In fact, the first time she had really been punished this way by anyone. OF course, the reason she had begun dating Leo was because this was the sort of relationship, and it all seemed so exciting when she read about in stories and forums, and of course, when talking to Leo about it. In hypotheticals, of course!
But now it was all very real and very immediate.
Snap
Out from the overnight bag that had nothing in it for staying overnight came a long wooden paddle. Sylvie gulped. That implement seemed a little severe for the crime in question, and especially for a first spanking.
“Sylvie, you know have to do. Don’t make me wait.”
Sylvie gulped. Yes, she knew what to do. Leo had told her before coming what to expect from this spanking. She was to lay across his lap and keep her hands in front of her through the whole spanking. No reaching back, no rubbing, and no attempts to kick anyone in the face. No matter how tempting that might be.
One of Leo’s hands reached around to the front button of her jeans, unsnapping them, and pulling them down to her knees, her blue stripped panties following right after. Sylvie shut her eyes tight. Was there going to be another lecture before the spanking started? Was she going to be asked to make an account of her transgressions? Was there…?
SMACK!
“Ouch!” Apparently not.
But that wasn’t the paddle over her backside. It was Leo’s hand. This was something he’d told her about. Before he actually started using the paddle, he would have to give her a few smacks with his hand; just to bring the nerve endings to the surface of the skin…maybe…she couldn’t remember. But it was supposed to keep the paddle from doing too much physical damage, like bruises or broken blood vessels.
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
The hand didn’t hurt nearly as much as she had been worrying. Of course it was painful, but lots of things were ‘painful’: hydrogen peroxide, a scratch from a kitten, bumping your knee into a wall. Her toes curled and yelps echoed from the back of her throat.
SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!
Still, Leo wasn’t saying anything. Did he want her to beg? Was begging appropriate in this situation? Was it normal to be overthinking a spanking this much? Wasn’t she just supposed to be focused exclusively on the pain?
And did Leo stop spanking her…?
CRACK!
“OWWWIE!”
THAT was the paddle!
There was that same description everyone gave of being paddled. The very sharp pain then followed by the intense burn of a particularly large paddle. The only that was only interrupted and intensified by even more smacks.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
Then, of course, there would finally get to be a point where there was no fighting back the tears. It didn’t have to be full blown crying, but there would be watering eyes and Sylvie was most certainly at that point now. Burning, watering eyes, right along with a hitch in the back of her throat that sounded more like crying with every continuous blow from the paddle.
CRACK! CRACK!
Everyone she spoke to said a good paddling was more than capable of bringing a person to tears, but secretly, Sylvie had always thought it was just dramatics, something to make spanking stories more juicy. Adults didn’t cry when they were in pain. Adults swore, cursed the Almighty, and punched walls, but crying from pain was something anyone over twenty had long outgrown.
And it was something that Sylvie had previously believed she had outgrown too. Until that paddle had entered her apartment. And until the cushion under her face started becoming soaked.
“Please…,” she finally managed to whimper. “Sir, please, it hurts…”
CRACK!
“Good,” Leo finally spoke, pausing to rest the edge of the paddle and the hot skin of her backside. “That means it’s doing its job.”
For a while, he let the paddle rest there, letting Sylvie feel the true burn radiating from her skin, letting her hear her own whimpers echo through the room. In the quiet, Sylvie pondered briefly how Leo was handling all this. For as little as Sylvie knew, she knew Leo didn’t have much more experience than she did. Was he worrying? Just how much was he overthinking all of this? After all, he was the one who has to watch for bruises and red patches.
Then…
CRACK!
“ARGH!”
That was the loudest Sylvie had yet to shriek. And apparently Leo liked that sound.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
Then, finally, came the sobbing. The full out sobbing she had been promised would happen with enough cracks of the paddle. Now there was no more overthinking. Sylvie had reached that animalistic mindset where she was only focused on the pain, where it was only screaming, crying, complete with a runny nose.
She tried to think of everything that hurt more than the paddle. Breaking her arm in the third grade. CRACK! The massive grease burn that made her one of few sixteen-year-olds to earn workers comp. CRACK! The time her orthodontist from Auschwitz tightened her braced so tight, it actually cracked on of her molars. CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
And then it all stopped.
Then there was Leo’s voice, calm and level. He didn’t even sound out of breath. “Is anything like this ever going to happen again?”
Sylvie couldn’t manage anything more than a hiccup, but she nodded her head.
“You’re not going to be late paying your phone bill anymore? Or your electric bill? Or anything else of that nature?”
Sylvie buried her face in the couch cushions and shook her head again.
“Good girl.”
Then he pulled her up to sit beside him. Sylvie yelped and flinched as soon as her butt came in contact with the seat. She tried to pull away, to at least stand as opposed to sit, but Leo was having none it. He held her close to him, trying to maneuver her head so she could bury her face his chest. It was certainly an attempt at comfort, but with this, now it was Leo who seemed like the bewildered on. Of course, the mechanics of just swinging a paddle were comparatively easy compared to comforting someone completely distraught.
Though Sylvie wasn’t sure she was exactly ‘distraught’. Sure, she was sobbing to the point where she was shaking, her head was pulsing and the skin on her backside felt like was too, but she didn’t really know what she was feeling. Everything intense and completely numb at the same time. Nothing like this was ever mentioned in any story or forum.
But then, there was Leo: calm, collected, a rock in the truest sense. However scared, upset or unsure he might have been, he didn’t show it. Strong and steely as ever.
Just like she could always count on him to be, no matter what.
